Meet the Doctors

 

Doctor Thomas Drake is the founder of Smile Designers Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, which opened its doors 17 years ago at its current location. He originally went to Sacramento State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. He practiced nursing for several years before continuing his education at the University of Nebraska School of Dentistry and graduated with a D.D.S. degree in 1990. Since then he has treated children and adults performing all phases of general dentistry. He is thoroughly trained in placing single tooth implants and implant retained dentures. He has been married to Kathy for 28 years and has 4 children ranging in age from 17 to 25. Tom enjoys attending church and spending time with his family skiing. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Colorado Dental Association and the Boulder County Dental Society.

Doctor Steve Sampson joined Smile Designers in August 2007 after practicing dentistry for over four years in Georgia. He is originally from Missouri and graduated from Pensacola Christian College in Florida. After college, he attended Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. He has worked extensively with specialists in prosthodontics and endodontics. Sampson has been married to Chastity for nine years and has two sons: Trevor, 4, and Ian, 1. He enjoys attending church, spending time with family, dining out, movies, reading and weight lifting. Doctor Sampson is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Colorado Dental Association, and the Boulder County Dental Society.
